What's New in PlasmaGen v5.9.6.1

The following list outlines all the changes and enhancements that were made to each revision of PlasmaGen 5.  The v5.9.6.1 release includes ALL of the following revisions.  They are listed separately so that you can more easily determine the new features that were added for a particular revision.

These features were added in v5.9.6.1

  • Fixed an issue with how version numbers are compared to better handle the Release and Build portions of the version string. This should prevent future issues when checking for updates.

  • Modified PlasmaGen Setup to correct an issue with using custom defined colors. The chosen color would not always be correct since the RGB values were getting assigned wrong.

  • PlasmaGen v5.9.4 was never officially released.

  • Updated to support the new database changes in ProScore v5.9.3

  • Fixed a small issue in PlasmaGen where the DBonus table would not be closed and reopened when searching for a new server to connect to.

These features were added in v5.9.0

  • Updated to support the new database changes in ProScore v5.9.0
  • Modified PlasmaGen to better handle the situation where there is no connected display and it is forced to use primary monitor. It will no longer set that the primary monitor should be always be used until unselected. This should make it easier when PlasmaGen is used before the screen is connected and later after is is connected.
  • Modified PlasmaGen results to allow for the option to use the USAG 2D+E formula for final scores.

  • Modified PlasmaGen and all other misc programs to support Reference Judges for FIG World Cup and higher events.
  • Modified to provide the option to change the name format when flashing scores. The options are: "First Last", "Last, First", "F Last", and "Last".
  • Modified to allow any of the colors to be specified by RGB value.

These features were added in v5.6.1

  • Modified to fix an issue when flashing scores using 'one event at a time' mode. The display scores maximum time was not being honored and scores would only flash for the minimum only.
  • Modified ScoreGen, PlasmaGen, RemoteGen to use session drop-down lists for selecting which session to score and display. Instead of numbering the boxes they are now listed as Primary and Additional.
  • Updated to support the new database changes in ProScore v5.6.1

These features were added in v5.4.2

  • Added the ability to have a rental registration code for PlasmaGen. PlasmaGen will now show if the number of screens is a rental or if the rental has expired on the About PlasmaGen screen.

  • Added the option to include or not include NCAA event exhibition athletes from the event results.

  • Updated to handle the increase in size of the USAG member number field from 6 to 7 characters.
  • Improved the handling of a lost server connection. Timers are now disabled to prevent endless dialogs from appearing stating that the connection was lost.

  • Altered the hostname that the registration code verification uses to go to our domain instead of a fixed IP address.

  • Added lost server connection detection. When the server connection is lost, the program will display a message and then attempt to re-launch itself.

  • Enhanced the registration functionality of PlasmaGen.

  • Modified to change the layout of the NCAA Team Grid results display so the events are along the top and the teams are along the left. This allowed for the addition of 8 teams to be displayed on the results. It also will allow for additional teams to be added in the future if the situation calls for it.
  • Modified to increase the width of the seconds field on the Countdown screen.

These features were added in v5.0.3

  • Modified so that the "Always use event icon" option will work for non-FIG meets.

These features were added in v5.0.2

  • Fixed an issue when using "all events at once" mode with dual sessions. The maximum time to display scores would not be honored.
  • Updated to support the database changes made in ProScore v5.0.2.

These features were added in v5.0.1

  • Modified the startup process for PlasmaGen to better handle the situation where it could not connect to the server on startup and the user chose to not select a different server.

These features were added in v5.0.0

  • This is the initial release.
